Although GPS is widespread location technology it still can not provide accurate indoor positioning. State-of-the-art indoor location technologies based on Wi-Fi, infra-red and other narrowband technologies require bulky infrastructure deployment. Ultra wideband has several features that differentiate it from conventional systems. UWB enables fine time resolution, provides robust performance in dense multipath environment, allows coexistence with other RF users and enables simultaneous communication and measurements. Our location solution is the passive pulse location technology based on using position elements. |
